Switchable hardware-based bandwidth limiter
It seems reasonable to assume that more bandwidth is better, but a wider bandwidth gives more noise. To reduce your noise you can switch a bandwidth limiter on. When a lot of noise appears on your signal and triggering becomes unstable, switching the bandwidth limit on will give a stable triggering. Enabling the bandwidth limiter also avoids under sampling.
The bandwidth limit can be enabled for each channel individually on the channel toolbar and has four settings. The frequencies of the bandwidth limiter for the WiFiScope WS6 DIFF are:
WS6 DIFF-1000 | WS6 DIFF-500 | WS6 DIFF-200 |
---|---|---|
Off (250 MHz) | Off (250 MHz) | Off (250 MHz) |
150 MHz | 150 MHz | 150 MHz |
100 MHz | 100 MHz | 100 MHz |
