Version 1.41 of the Multi Channel oscilloscope software is now available for download.
Various changes have been made to add new functionality and to improve basic operations in the software. This is a categorized overview of some of the changes.
Instrument and channel toolbars
A redesign of the instrument and channel toolbars has been made. When multiple instruments are opened, the instrument toolbar and channel toobars of each opened instrument are placed on a tabbed sheet. This reduces the space occupied by the toolbars, leaving more space for the graph(s).
When a combined instrument is created and opened, the channels of the combined instrument are grouped in a tab per sub instrument. This reduces the space occupied by the toolbars, leaving more space for the graph(s). it also simplifies adjusting a channel for a specific sub instrument in the combined instrument.
When an instrument with more than 4 channels is opened, the channel toolbars are arranged on tabs with each up to four channel toolbars. This reduces the space occupied by the toolbars, leaving more space for the graph(s).
Comparator IO
A new Comparator I/O is added, to compare a signal to a certain reference value and indicate whether the signal is higher or lower than the reference value.
Crankshaft angle IO
Two new options have been added to the Crankshaft angle I/O:
- a Sensor option, to give several presets for common crankshaft angle sensors and teeth arrangements
- an Asymmetric option, for processing asymmetrical signals
Other changes
Several other minor changes and corrections have been made in the software, to improve controlling instruments and performing measurements.
- An option to Crop data collector(s) between cursors is added to the graphs.
- Bugfix: SPI decoder I/O could go wrong with streaming data
- Bugfix: Resampler I/O generated garbage output after resampling more than 2^31 samples
- Minor improvements and fixes.
